The reason why we want to build a windmill, is because it uses wind’s power to convert it into usable electricity for house appliances, such as TV, radio, PC or anything else that needs electrical power. Alright, so what do you need to build a windmill? Well, there are few main components. First of all, you will require a tower, which is the “holder” of the gearbox and the blades. Usually the taller is the tower, the more wind it will be able to catch. However, it also depends on where you place it and how much wind there is in your area. As you probably realized, the gearbox is the heart of a windmill. This is what makes everything work, and converts wind into electricity.
